Task Two – Designing the Suite

In this task, I am going to elaborate on the three final ideas of why my posts are suitable for the channel, how they will appeal to the target and what time of day/year they are designed for. 

In this video, it shows all of the ideas of a suite for the channel called 'NickToons' a channel for kids. 

Idea 1

This idea was planned out to be a nice afternoon with the blue sky out with the sun showing all the letters that were orange which spelled out nick. Next set of shots, it would be set in the evening so the sun will set and the sky would be orange, so that it will be visible to view the letters. This idea would be shot during the afternoon till the evening, as this is a summer themed ident. So, this advertisement would be showcased during the summer time along the summer holidays as it fits, with the whole idea of putting a palm tree part of the idea which gave it even more of a summer feel. This will appeal to the target audience because, this ident uses a set of appealing colours which will catch the eyes of many kids. Also, as it will be shown on the channel, it also will be appealing as it keeps up with the summer season. 

Idea 2

The second idea was planned out to be for every single term, this is an everyday ident idea that they can show from time to time throughout the year. In this idea I thought of the letters going up against each other by facing off. So its team blue vs team orange, and in this each letter gets shown and in the end of this, all the letters come together to form Nicktoons. This is suitable for the channel because, it shows all the letters of the channels name, also the two colours are facing off as well so it can make the audience pick a side which they like. 

Idea 3

In the third idea, I was thinking of an idea of we are in a classroom, and I thought about whether letters should come out of different places of the classroom, and then they all meet in their final destination on a piece of yellow paper. Elaborating on when letters come out of different places of the classroom for instance, the orange 'n' in the beginning will come out of the orange recycling bin as they match colours. All the rest of the letters will come out of different parts of the classroom. This idea was mainly for the school term, this will be relatable to school children which is how it will appeal to the audience, showing them as well as you enjoy your cartoons enjoy school. This is suitable because, a large majority of kids go to school and kids love cartoons, so this will be really effective.
